Miwako Sakurada is one of my favorite characters in Paradise Kiss. By the way who doesn't know this manga or movie???

This story fascinates me and made me want to be a model and a fashion designer too! But anyway for the sake of the people who doesn't know about this manga here's a plot summary: Yukari is a typical high-school student who listens to her parents and attends school everyday. As she starts to question her way of life, she encounters a group of fashion design students who has a clothing label known as "Paradise Kiss". The group needs to find a model to showcase their designs in an up-coming fashion show and decides to pick Yukari instead. Initially, Yukari was reluctant to be associated with this seemingly eccentric group, but eventually, she realises that they are really nice people. Furthermore, their passion and enthusiasm to follow their ideals and dreams make Yukari realise that she has not been enjoying her life and this motivated her to pursue her own dreams.

About Miwako:

she's a bubbly pink-haired student of Yazagaku who works with George to run their brand, Paradise Kiss. She tends to act in a childlike manner, both in her Lolita style dress and unique vocabulary. She carries around a jar of konpeito candy that makes her feel better by reminding her how she loved. Because of having cute personality, many of the characters adored her and becomes Yukari's closest friend.

Cosplay tips:

To be able to portray the character well, you should know how to relate your personality on the character's personality. Like me in this character, I found out that I have same personality as Miwako Sakurada.

It is very important that you know the character, Cosplay is not just about imitating, you should always have the heart to do it. If you and the character you're portraying has the same situation, story,personality and such, then playing his/her role becomes natural.

My Costume

This Gothic Lolita inspired outfit is divided into 3 parts.

First is the inner part - it is a half spaghetti strap, which I bought from Cotton On HK

Second - is the black blouse, bought it because of impulsive buying way back last year.

Third - it is the black petticoat of my D.O.D Calla :D

Costumes doesn't need to be new and expensive, sometimes or most of the times you only need to be creative, resourceful, and productive. If you are tight budget, look for alternatives like what I did in this cos. I just checked my wardrobe, mix and match then that's it! a new costume for me :D Always be creative and use your imagination!
